ACM has recently got into the groove of e-newsletters, we call it ACM Weekly. Sign up here (shameless plug). We’ve been doing it not just for us, but for a client as well. I’m new to the e-newsletter world and I’ve seen the need for it since I’ve started. Especially in the local sphere of things. Just to give some context, an e-newsletter is a newsletter via email. It provides information to a subscribed audience in a short form. If your business doesn’t see why you should have an e-newsletter, read on!
An e-newsletter allows your business to communicate with its audience on a scheduled basis. ACM has been churning these out every week. We currently use the mailchimp platform to do this. It helps us to share information about our #LinkedInTT events, latest blogs and anything we think our audience needs to be a part of. Having an e-newsletter keeps your audience updated with all your business’ latest information. It is an easy audience to access when there is the launch of a new product or service. Instead of waiting for your post to be seen on social media, this newsletter can get your content before the eyes of customers.
Increases Website Traffic
What better reason than website traffic? Once you have planned your e-newsletter template and you’ve got the content going, most of the information shared should come from your website. As mentioned, we share our blogs in ACM Weekly, doing this has increased our website traffic. It’s easy to sit and hope that people would click on your website. It’s even better to guide them with the content on your website. With a call to action that stands out, those e-newsletter clicks can be converted to sales with the right audience.
Communication fosters the development of relationships. An e-newsletter is one way you can build a relationship with your audience. While social media can do just the same, an e-newsletter adds that personal touch. It’s like a love letter to your audience. The biggest difference? No distractions by a newsfeed. You have the sole attention of your reader. This one on one communication and providing new information before it’s published anywhere creates a sense of exclusivity. You can use the receiver’s first name in your content and you can insert your very own branded signature at the end. Building these relationships is important as it keeps your business top of mind and boosts your brand’s credibility.
